The short version
The grades you type into this site are never transmitted anywhere. Every calculation runs in your browser. There is no account system, no database, and no server-side logging of your inputs. What follows is the complete detail, including the third-party advertising that pays for the site.
Information we collect directly
Calculator inputs: none. Current grades, target grades, weights, points, course names, and credit hours are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript loaded with the page. They are not sent to any server, not written to a database, and not stored between visits. Closing the tab discards them.
Contact email: only what you send. If you email cannon.potter1@gmail.com, we hold that message and your address for as long as it takes to reply and to keep a record of reported bugs. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Information collected automatically
Hosting logs. The site is served by a third-party hosting provider that keeps standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for security and abuse prevention. These logs are the hosting provider’s, retained under their policy, and are not used to build a profile of you.
Advertising and cookies
This site is supported by display advertising served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Those networks operate independently of us and set their own cookies and identifiers.
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
- Third-party vendors other than Google may also serve ads on this site and may use cookies to do so.
- Browser settings can block or delete cookies at any time. The calculators keep working without them.
Where required by law, a consent notice is presented before non-essential advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the same notice.
Analytics
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is deliberately chosen because of what it does not do: it sets no cookies, uses no client-side state, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track individuals across sites or sessions. What it records is the page requested, the referring site, and coarse device and country information, aggregated.
Because nothing is stored on your device and no individual is identified, this analytics does not require a consent banner under the ePrivacy Directive or GDPR. No calculator input is passed to it, or to any other service, under any configuration.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal data held about you, and to object to personalised advertising.
EEA and UK (GDPR). Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for operating and securing the site, and consent for non-essential advertising cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US state laws. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies may constitute a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under some state laws; the opt-out links above are the mechanism to decline it.
To exercise any right, email cannon.potter1@gmail.com and say which law you are writing under. Note that because we do not collect calculator inputs, there is generally no stored personal data of yours for us to return or erase beyond an email exchange you started.
Children
This site is a general-audience study tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and it will be deleted.
Data transfers and retention
Hosting and advertising partners may process data in the United States and other countries. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle the enquiry. Because calculator inputs are never collected, there is nothing to retain.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes. The revision date at the top reflects the most recent version, and material changes will be reflected there.
